Hi. I have just bought Skoda Octavia 2010 model. 1.6 SE diesel. I am struggling to understand how to connect my mobile using blutooth function. When i press bluetooth button it mutes the radio. Does it mean this model does not have bluetooth functionality? Also, i tried using micro sdxc card to l Just in case anyone has had a similar issue. My phone would disconnect from the Octavia's Bluetooth whenever I tried to make a call. I have since turned off "Media audio" in the Bluetooth connection on the phone. It has not happened since (fingers crossed!) The Columbus is the current Skoda unit that has Sat Nav, but it does not have Bluetooth built in - that is a separate unit. There is also a new VW unit that is being transferred across the Skoda with Sat Nav, but I'm not sure when or if that has happened yet. I think it is the Amundsen+, but don't hold me to that. In the future, the car will be controlled by voice commands. But many drivers already use this technology today and control some of the car's features with their voice only. I can make phone calls with my phone. But: The PHONE button on RCD510 only mutes the audio. Phone button on steering wheel does nothing. There is no phone information on the MFD. It plugs into the back of the HU instead of the cd-changer plug, and has a 3.5mm jack you can plug into any mp3 player. You press the [CD] button twice to switch to it. Posted 21 July, 2010. If you have the stream mp3 head unit you can wire an aux socket directly in and keep the CD changer. I found that if you reset the infotainment screen by holding down the on/off control for 10 seconds the system would restart and the Bluetooth would be on, not ideal but it gets you access to your phone while in the car. This would sometimes last a couple of days, other times just one short journey. This is how I do it: Wait for phone to connect. Press the media button and then BT-audio. Then play music from my phone, making sure the volume on my phone is turned up adequately. Sometimes I have to press BT audio again for it to start coming through the speakers. NyjSzq.
